Believing is Simple!

Greetings Saints,

1 Cor 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
Amazing God we serve. Uses the simple things to confound the wise. Such a simple thing to believe. Seems elementary in comparison to so many other accomplishments, but that is the wisdom of God.

He is so smart. He did not choose to save people because they were good looking or not, nor because they were so intelligent with many degrees, nor because they were the strongest physically than another, but he chose the one thing that EVERYONE can qualify for. To Believe!

You see, all those other things can exclude some groups of people. But EVERYONE can believe. There are no limitations to this. What an awesome God! The one thing that EVERYONE can do no matter who they are, is to believe.

It actually runs far deeper than just that though if you think about it. Because your actions are based on your beliefs. What you believe is how you will govern your very life. Right? Sure!
If I believe I will make a paycheck, then I work all week for it. If for some reason I thought I might not get it, I would find another job! We act on what we believe. So if we believe right, then we will act right. If we act right then we are right.

Rom 4:3 For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed in (trusted in) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living and right standing with God).
My paraphrase of that is right-ness So when Abraham believed God it was right! It may look wrong to the world, or to your friends or family, but if it is right to God, that is the way I am going!

It gets even better! How you believe is actually how you will speak. You will say what you believe, and if you say what you believe you will have what you say!
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Of course satan has perverted it so that we actually use this against ourselves because we tend to believe only what we see and we say what we have instead of calling those things that be not as though they were. (Rom 4.17)

What an awesome God. Making a way so simple so that EVERYONE can partake and be right. Right in God’s eyes, and that is the one that counts!
You meditate on the simplicity of this. Just listen to yourself and see what you are saying. Take a look at your life and see how you are acting. Then see if you are really believing the Bible way or maybe slipped into some deception somewhere thinking you believe but acting the opposite.

Do not get condemned! We all do it from time to time! Just have to recognize it and repent and get back on track.
Say this after me: I am a believer and not a doubter! I am a receiver because I am a believer! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! I am blessed because He says I am. Nothing is too difficult for Him or me! I am the head and not the tail, always above and never beneath the circumstances. I call those things that be not as though they were and I have what I say. I am victorious! I believe right so I am right! Thank you Jesus!

WHAT ABOUT THE FIG TREE???

Greetings Saints,

Always a delight to visit with you. Love to receive your emails, you are a great encouragement and
blessing to me.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus cursed the fig tree? Well I surely did. More than once have I asked
Him why would He curse the fig tree just because he did not find figs on it?

Well He showed me, and if you are interested, read on and I will show you what He told me.
Here is the account of where he spoke to the fig tree.

Matt 21:18-22 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and
said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus
answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only
do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and
be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing,
ye shall receive.

He came looking for fruit and found none. This is the key. Bear fruit or be cursed. And your fruit is
directly related to your believing. That is why he continued with telling them they could do the same and
more by believing. He was showing the correlation between a fruit bearer and one that is not. One who
lives and walks by faith or one who allows natural circumstances to control their lives.

Luke 13:6-9 (New Life Version) Then He told them this picture story: “A man
had a fig tree in his grape-field. He looked for fruit on it but found none. He said to his
servant, ‘See! For three years I have been coming here looking for fruit on this fig tree. I never
find any. Cut it down. Why does it even waste the ground?’ The servant said, ‘Sir! Leave it here one more
year. I will dig around it and put plant food on it. It may be that it will give fruit next year.
If it does not, then cut it down.’”

This is just good business. If you plant a vineyard and all are producing fruit but one.
It is only good business to get rid of the one tree that is wasting the space on the ground that another
could be producing on.
How does this relate to us? Jesus says it best in the book of John.

John 15:2-8 (New Living Translation) He cuts off every branch of mine that
doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You
have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in
you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless
you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will
produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away
like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain
in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you
produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

Well one might say, it seems the Lord is cursing his people. No never! It is just the opposite! He is
teaching us that unbelievers are living under the curse.
You are either living by faith, moving mountains out of your way, or you are living in the natural,
controlled by the circumstances of life. So then, you are either in the blessings or you are under the
curse, your life in shambles. Your purpose is to bear fruit, just like the fig tree was supposed to bear
fruit. If you do not, whether by deception or some other trick of the enemy, you are under the curse, and
need to immediately adjust your believing to align with the Word of God.
When we produce fruit it brings glory to God because we have believed and acted on His Words, abiding in
them, instead of our circumstances lording over us.
So then, it is our choice, cursed or blessed, choose life it is so much better! Stay in faith!

Faith, Standing and Believing…

Greetings Saints,

Love you all very much. So good to visit with you.

Mark 11:22-24 (New Living Translation) Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

Jesus words were, “I tell you, you can pray for anything…and it will be yours”. Wow! What a blank check! I marvel at this. I want to so understand this statement until it works every time in my life.

The key is in the middle of that sentence, “and if you believe that you’ve received it”. Believe, really believe you have it. Note that He says “you have” indicating past tense, meaning you believe you already have received it at the time of prayer, not when you physically see it.

We tend to play mind games with this making all kinds of spiritual doctrines out of our unbelief, but fact is, Jesus said we can pray for anything and have it when we really believe. So if we are not getting it, then we are just not believing…properly that is. Let me explain.

Jesus used the example of speaking to the mountain in this passage. So here is the a major point. You must be able to look at that mountain and ask yourself, do I really have the faith to believe God will move it at my command? Or no?

You must be very candid with yourself when you ask the question, can I really believe for this. In other words, can you look at that mountain and tell it to move and really believe it will? Not just the physical mountain but any mountain in your life. If you cannot, then it is time to get back to the word until you can. Jesus said anything is possible when you really believe, you just have to really believe!

Problem seems to be that we are praying and not yet ready to believe for it. Sure we make excuses and do it anyway, but truth is we are not fully persuaded that when we say it, we will have it, so we do not get it. Start today practicing on small things. As you see God move those smaller dirt mounds, then you will be able to progress to believing for the mountain.

This takes practice and skill like anything else you do well. Learn to believe the Bible way and move that mountain today!

Matt 21:21-22 (New Living Translation) Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”

Things are really starting to come together for our 5th anniversary and mission conference next month! I pray you are making plans to be with us. Please check us out at www.ficccelebrationmissionsconf.org.

Ministers, missionaries, churches, musicians, drama teams, we are asking you to get involved with us! Your ministry is needed! Don’t forget to sign up for some ministry one of the services you plan to be there.
