Greetings Saints!
We are studying the word “believe” in order to better understand how to effectively walk by faith and not by sight. We will continue commentary consecutively until all occurrences of this word have been examined. We are presently on the 9th occurrence in the King James Version found in Numbers chapter 14, verse 11. And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? The question is, “How long does it take for us to believe Him?”. A minute, an hour, a few days, weeks, months, or longer? How much longer? This is vital for all serious minded students of the Word. Will you believe now or will you believe the voice of reason that delays? If there is a delay, what then will it take to convince you? Do you believe God hears your prayer or is there something you must do in order to obtain just the right amount of favor so He will answer? Some say, if I could just see a miracle, I would believe, but when they see, they do not. Others say, if He would show me a sign, then I would believe, and when He does, then reason explains it away again and demands just one more sign. How long will we provoke the Lord? How long then till we believe and receive all that awaits us? He has given His Son, His Word, and we are complete in Him. The miracle is done, it was finished at Calvary. The complete work of salvation has been done through Jesus. Attached to it are countless promises of provision, protection, divine health and more. Yet, reason tends to take the supremacy over the Word of God when challenged by situations that arise daily in our lives. How long? It is up to you. The promises have been given and they are paid for. You say you believe them but do you show it by what you say and do. Quit the empty excuses. Stop the lying reasoning. Seek the Lord, trust Him, He will not fail you. Choose to believe Him and choose it now. Do not listen to the enemy tell you to believe when you see this or that happen. It is a deception intended to delay. How long? The answer is NOW. Believe Him now! Faith is always NOW, never future. He has done it and so it is done! I am says I am so I am. No weapon formed against us will prosper! I am blessed in all that I put my hand to. The favor of the Lord is a shield round about me. I have abundance and never lack. By His stripes I am healed. I have the power to create wealth and the wisdom to use it properly. I am in my wealthy place. Perfect love has cast out all fear. The greater One lives in me. Hallelujah! Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 When do you believe? (How long) At the time of prayer. Not when you see it, feel it, or for any other reason, just at the time of prayer believe. You can have it now, how long will you wait? How long will you provoke the Lord by believing the excuses that make you wait? Take it now, it is paid for, it is yours. Practice this until it works for you. Become skillful with the Word of God. Believe you receive now! Love you! See you in church! Pastor Chuck Kennedy
