Greetings Saints!

Deut 1:32 Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God.

It is possible to witness God’s miraculous power in times past, yet in this thing, our current situation, find ourselves unwilling to believe Him presently.

It would seem that based on past experience with the miraculous we should victoriously take hold of the next challenge life presents with great conquest. Quite
the contrary unless we become skilled and matured in the exercise of believing the Word of God.

The New Living Translation puts it this way. “But even after all he did, you refused to trust the Lord your God, Deut 1:32 NLT

Even after all He did, the miracle of parting the Red Sea, manna for food, water out of the rock, there still presents a choice at the next challenge of either using our faith or falling back to unbelief.

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Rom 10:17 NIV

Faith does not come from what we see. If one depends on what is seen, life becomes a wild roller coaster ride in multiple fast moving directions. The skilled soldier disciplines both body and soul in submission to the spirit. Believing the unseen more than the seen. Knowing that what is seen is temporary, subject to change. Thus truth dominates over reason due to the fact that spirit (unseen) is eternal while the seen (natural) is temporary. Therefore we prevail by steadfast faith in the Word to change the natural things.

Miracles are in fact a witness of the Lord’s power. They are excellent for that. They show us the supernatural. They show to us a realm outside of what we normally see and feel every day.

But it is the Word that we derive our faith from. Never are we told that faith comes by seeing any miracle or anything else. The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word of God.

The Israelites were told to go and possess the land and in this thing, (the Word of the Lord to them,) chose to reason it away and disobey..

Yet in spite of this word you did not believe (trust, rely on, and remain steadfast to) the Lord your God, Deut 1:32 AMP

In spite of the Word from God, you made a decision to believe something or someone else, specifically here the unbelieving spies.

We have to continually practice believing just as a physician practices his profession. Ever learning, always developing. It is not just a one time decision or action. It is a continual opportunity to choose between believing the Word of the Lord or the compelling evidences satan uses to deceive us.

What thing do you face today? What thing do you find yourself in at this moment? Will you believe the Word of the Lord or will you explain it away in subtle unbelief. God has made a way out for you. You must believe it enough to walk in it. The door has swung wide open for your victory in this thing, but you must see it more than you see the problem.

In this thing, turn what the devil desires for defeat into the latest and greatest miracle! God is not a liar. He does what He promises, He is just looking for someone with faith to work through. Why not you? This time you are His chosen. It is your turn to shine.

Believe Him and do not cower down in fear and unbelief. Give way to the eternal and cause the natural to surrender. You have the authority. You are the master under the Master. Do as He would do. Call those things that are not as if they were. The victory is now yours!

1 Cor 10:13 NLT The temptations (opportunities to not believe) in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, (offered the opportunity to not believe) He will show you a way out so that you can endure.

The way out is to believe His Word. He cannot lie.

James 1:6 AMP Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.

In this thing, believe Gods Word, you cannot fail.

See you in church!

Num 20:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not
bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Because ye believed me not…herein lies the root of the problem. Specifically the failure to believe.

Unbelief, in one form or another, is the reason the church does not enjoy more of the promises of God today.

We say we believe. We obtain some blessings, i.e., the water flowed out of the rock, but we miss entering the rest He promises.

Heb 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

Moses was told to speak to the rock and it would give forth the water, but he spoke to the people and struck the rock. Perhaps he thought this was correct since
it was similar to the way he did it before. (Ex 17. 1-7)

We cannot live in the past or govern ourselves according to our experiences, good or bad. We are to receive fresh manna from the Lord’s word and walk in it. We cannot base our faith on what worked the last time.

Where was Moses faith? Possibly he reasoned that since he struck the rock the last time and it produced, that he could do it again. In that case his faith was in the experience and not the fresh word of the Lord.

Little did he know, at the moment, that he had provoked God himself the very same way the Israelites had done by their unbelief. It just manifested in a slightly different manner.

Psalm 106:32-33 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: Because they provoked his spirit, so that he
spake unadvisedly with his lips.

They were murmuring in unbelief. He also spoke unbelief. God said speak to the rock, that is faith. He chose to speak to the people and strike the rock, that is unbelief. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. He had a choice, God’s word to the rock or his words, based on his feelings, to the people.

He spake unadvisedly. God advised him what to say, yet he spake what he felt.

So where is our faith? In past experiences? In feelings? In circumstances? Or in the fresh manna of the Word of God?

Check it by what we say and how we act.

It is no small thing to distrust the Lord no matter how right it may seem to our senses. Unbelief is evil in the sight of God and we must cleanse ourselves of it.

Moses must have thought all was well. They had the miracle of the water, they were satisfied. It appeared as though he had done right until the voice of the Lord
spake again.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, … therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Unbelief is such a deceptive snare! A costly one as well.

Moses was not kept from heaven however, but from the earthly promised land flowing with milk and honey. So it is with us. When we do not fully believe
the promises of God we may experience some outward relief, thus appearing all is well spiritually. Yet there is still a rest of absolute faith and trust in His Word here on earth we must enter into.

There is nothing so sweet as His rest. Confidence unshakable in Him. A peace that passes our understanding. To know that you know that you know. Determine to obtain it today. Shake off all symptoms of unbelief and seek the Lord while He may be found. Plant the Word deep in your heart and allow it to roll off your lips calling those things that be not as though they were. It is the Kingdom way.

Not by feelings or reasonable arguments will we prevail, but by faith in the Word of God.

See you in church!

We are studying the word “believe” in order to better understand how to effectively walk by faith and not by sight. We will continue commentary consecutively until all occurrences of this word have been examined.

We are presently on the 9th occurrence in the King James Version found in Numbers chapter 14, verse 11.

And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

The question is, “How long does it take for us to believe Him?”. A minute, an hour, a few days, weeks, months, or longer? How much longer? This is vital for all serious minded students of the Word. Will you believe now or will you believe the voice of reason that delays?

If there is a delay, what then will it take to convince you? Do you believe God hears your prayer or is there something you must do in order to obtain just the right amount of favor so He will answer?

Some say, if I could just see a miracle, I would believe, but when they see, they do not. Others say, if He would show me a sign, then I would believe, and when He does, then reason explains it away again and demands just one more sign.

How long will we provoke the Lord? How long then till we believe and receive all that awaits us? He has given His Son, His Word, and we are complete in Him. The miracle is done, it was finished at Calvary.

The complete work of salvation has been done through Jesus. Attached to it are countless promises of provision, protection, divine health and more. Yet, reason tends to take the supremacy over the Word of God when challenged by situations that arise daily in our lives.

How long? It is up to you. The promises have been given and they are paid for. You say you believe them but do you show it by what you say and do.

Quit the empty excuses. Stop the lying reasoning. Seek the Lord, trust Him, He will not fail you. Choose to believe Him and choose it now. Do not listen to the enemy tell you to believe when you see this or that happen. It is a deception intended to delay.

How long? The answer is NOW. Believe Him now! Faith is always NOW, never future. He has done it and so it is done! I am says I am so I am. No weapon formed against us will prosper! I am blessed in all that I put my hand to. The favor of the Lord is a shield round about me. I have abundance and never lack. By His stripes I am healed. I have the power to create wealth and the wisdom to use it properly. I am in my wealthy place. Perfect love has cast out all fear. The greater One lives in me. Hallelujah!

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24

When do you believe? (How long) At the time of prayer. Not when you see it, feel it, or for any other reason, just at the time of prayer believe. You can have it now, how long will you wait? How long will you provoke the Lord by believing the excuses that make you wait? Take it now, it is paid for, it is yours. Practice this until it works for you. Become skillful with the Word of God. Believe you receive now! Love you!

See you in church!

Greetings Saints!

The 8th occurrence in the King James Version of the word believe is found in Exodus 19:9.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

Believe thee for ever, not just for the moment. To believe God is not a temporary thing. It is not an emotion. It is not for a period of time. God ordained you and I to believe for eternity, in other words for ever. This is the right way, it is God’s way.

Moses had just brought the report to the Lord of the peoples promise to believe Him. The Lord’s response was to reveal Himself so as to try to get the people to not just believe for the moment, but for ever.

You could say that God knew mankind. He knew the trials and circumstances they were to face. He thus wanted to sustain their belief in perilous times when they might be tempted to doubt.

It is no different today. It is not enough to just believe for a moment, a day, a week or some earthly period of time. We serve an eternal God who has no time restraints as we know them. He is training us to rule and reign eternally, not just for the present time. We are not to just believe when convenient, but for ever, all the time. In the good times and in the trying times. We are believers. Covenant children with the most high God.

Once we make the decision to believe Him, we stay with that decision even though the temptation may be there to waver.

Like the parable of the sower Luke 8.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. Luke 8:11-15

As Moses went up on the Mount, the believers became curious. Some felt it was taking too long, others had suggestions how to help God. One thing or another lead them away from their original commitment of believing.

We cannot allow these subtle avenues of unbelief to creep in and draw us away. We are to believe for ever. Not just when it seems prayers have been answered. Not just when there is no pain in our bodies. Not just when we have abundance and no financial pressure.

Remember the Lord who brought you out of bondage! He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will never leave you nor forsake you. No one has ever been ashamed that really believed in Him. Only those who choose to stray from the truth and not believe for ever.

We must continue to believe the Word in the face of all adversity. Putting it into practice because we believe it more than we believe the assault of our five physical senses telling us it is not going to work.

God told Moses get back down quickly before the people break through and destroy themselves. They were supposed to believe for ever, but how quickly they chose another path. We must continue without wavering, lest we also be destroyed.

Each time we choose to step outside absolute faith in the Word of God we start down a destructive path. We must believe for ever. Continue, unmovable, unwavering, steadfast against all odds, believe the Word of God. He will not fail us.

So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. John 8:31 AMP

See you in church!
Greetings Saints!

The 7th occurrence in the King James Version of the word believe is found in Exodus 4:31. For clarification purposes, we will also begin with verse 30.

And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people. And the people believed:… Ex 4:30-31A

From the time I first read Mark 9:23, I have been intrigued. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth,

If all things are possible to a believer, then nothing is impossible. You have, in a sense, a blank check, IF you can believe. All things are possible.

Sure we say we believe, but do we get the desired results? There must be positive results or we are deceiving ourselves, for God cannot lie.

In our passage they confessed a belief in the Word of God and acted upon it. It was not just empty words. They actually began to believe. But something happened.

When opposition burdened them more, they soon lost their belief in God’s promise and began to give in to the situation instead of standing firm in the faith.

This is likened to our present day as well. We begin to believe until some hindrance comes along. Some obstacle denying our promise flaunts itself until we faint in unbelief.

It is easy to say we believe. It is easy to begin to act our belief. It is not easy to stay the course when severe opposition arises in a satanic effort to defeat us.

Pharaoh made life more difficult for the believers in an attempt to quench their spirits. He took away the straw originally provided for them in brick making and required them to gather their own while maintaining the same quota.

Obviously this did not work and when they complained he beat them physically. Put yourself in their position. Even the most spiritually mature would have to battle some questions!

Here is the key. We must continue to believe no matter what we see, feel or hear. If God promised, then it is sure. The only thing that can hinder the manifestation is if I quit believing. I must be fully persuaded.

Satan knows this. That is why he puts up a fight. Orchestrating discouraging circumstances to make things look worse. The purpose is to make you doubt. To convince you of the natural instead of the supernatural promises of God.

Moses told this to the Israelites, but they refused to listen to Moses because of their impatience and anguish of spirit and because of their cruel bondage. Ex 6:9 AMP

Circumstances that stopped them from believing the right way and made them succumb to believing the wrong way.

Believing is a decision. It is not an emotion. Too long the church has confused the two.
Yes, emotions are good, and we all have them. But, our emotions must follow our belief, not the other way around whereby our beliefs follow our emotions! Let the word of God prevail, nothing else.

We hear the Word of promise, we choose to believe by an act of our will. It is a choice. Then once we make that decision, we stay the course, nothing wavering. No negative thought allowed to stay, no action contrary to it, no words out of my mouth except in line with what I have decided to believe, the promise of God.

You do this and God will do His part. Together we cannot fail. It does not matter what anything looks like, feels like, or sounds like, God’s word is the final authority and no matter how far it goes or how long it lingers, it has to turn around and ultimately give God the glory by alignment with His Word. Just stay with it.

Let’s determine to work on this. Just as the Olympic athlete becomes skillful by continual practice, so must we in our believing. Practice and practice some more. Let the Holy Ghost correct you, mold you and shape you. Obtain skill in handling the Word of God. Put the negative circumstances to flight. You can do it, determine the victory is yours today.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal 6:9

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;” John 8:31 NASB

All things are possible to him who believes. Mark 9:31b NASB

So we are without excuse, everyone can choose to believe. It is available to all. There is no limits. It is time for the church to arise and take the land! What are you waiting for?

Love you!

See you in church!

 Greetings Saints!

JESUS IS LORD! No matter what happens to the economy or our governments, we are victorious because He is risen and satan is defeated! Hallelujah! Do you believe that? Let’s take a look…

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land. Ex 4:8-9

God is a miracle working God. He always has been and He always will be. He never changes. For I am the LORD, I change not; Mal 3:6

Seems neither does mankind. Although Father God does miracle after miracle for us, we still have difficulty believing Him.

This is what happened with Moses. God gave him a command in Ex 4:1 and he argues that maybe the elders and the people will not believe. God then does the miraculous so they will believe.

I do not know why it is so hard for mankind to really believe God. Yet I see it everyday. We say that we believe him, but then our actions show differently. It is according to what one really believes that determines their actions.

In other words, what you really believe is what you will do. You are what you believe. You make decisions according to what you believe. Your life is an example of what you really believe.

Here God was showing Moses the miraculous in order to get the people to believe so they would act. In this way He could deliver them from bondage! It is always for our good that God does something. His desire is to gain our trust so He can lead us out of bondage.

It is no different today. He does miracle after miracle to get us to believe Him instead of satanic circumstance. When we really do believe Him, we act, and He delivers.

You can say you are trying to believe, but that will not get the job done. Reason is you will continue to act what you really believe. If you are merely trying to believe, then you are actually believing something else instead of the Word and arguing with yourself about it. This is unbelief in disguise.

When one confesses they do believe, but actions do not agree with their confession. The circumstances will not change except for the worse. To believe is to act, all else is deception.

Saints, this is life and death material. If you think you are believing but acting in accordance with unbelief, you will die. You cannot afford to be even a little bit wrong in this. I have seen too many go to their grave saying they believe.

How can this be? We know it is not God’s fault. He cannot lie. …God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2

The problem lies with us. We think we are believing but in reality we are not. The way we know this is by what we say and do. It is just that simple.

The Word of God has untold numbers of examples with God doing the miraculous in order to get His people to believe. He did the greatest of all miracles when He sent His Son Jesus. He was born of a virgin, the Word made flesh, the unseen God now seen, so we would believe. How many say they believe this but continue a life of sin?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The same Jesus that came to earth and defeated sin, sickness and the grave still does the miraculous today. It is for His people to know. He did not stay dead on that cross, He arose with power and authority and Lord of all! Proving every promise in order for us to believe our way out of this present day bondage.

Now, check yourself. What are you believing. I mean what are you really believing? The circumstances, the pain in your body, the report of a loved one, a doctor, a bank account, or the Word of God backed by the power of the resurrected savior?

Your actions and your words tell all.

Think about it. If you need correction, allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you. In reality, we all do. This is something we must become more and more skillful in. It is a process, a lifelong process. Yield to it saints. Allow the God of the universe to mold and shape you into that victorious image He created you for. Make the decision to believe Him no matter what it looks like, feels like, or sounds like. It is not an emotional feeling. It is a choice you make. Do it, the greater one lives within you.

I love you and bless you!
